"Collect your Dutoit magnets and win!" Competition

1. Promoter

This promotional competition is run by Dutoit Agri (Pty) Ltd or the relevant Dutoit entity stated in the campaign material (“Dutoit” or “the Promoter”). Full promoter details are available from Dutoit on request.

2. Competition period

The competition opens on 1 April 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 14 May 2026. No late entries will be accepted.

3. Who may enter

The competition is open to legal residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older.
Employees, directors, members, partners, agents, consultants of the Promoter, its advertising agencies, participating retailers, prize sponsors, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners may not enter. This exclusion reflects the CPA rules for promotional competitions.

4. How the competition works

Selected bags of Dutoit apples will contain 1 of 4 collectible Dutoit magnets.

To qualify for entry, participants must:

  • purchase Dutoit apple from Pick n Pay carrying the competition sticker and collect all 4 different magnets;
  • take a clear photo of all 4 magnets together;
  • post the photo to their Instagram Story during the competition period;
  • tag @dutoit_agri; and
  • include the hashtag #AdvicewithEverySlice.

Only entries that include all 4 unique magnets, the correct tag and the correct hashtag will qualify.

5. Entry requirements

To be eligible:

  • the Instagram Story must clearly show all 4 magnets in one entry;
  • the tag to Dutoit must be visible and valid;
  • the hashtag #AdvicewithEverySlice must be included exactly as stated;
  • the entrant’s Instagram profile must be public at the time of entry and winner verification, or the entrant must, if requested by Dutoit, send proof of the Story entry by direct message or other reasonable means;
  • entrants must keep the original magnets and proof of purchase for verification purposes.
6. Purchase requirement

Entry requires the collection of 4 magnets from participating Dutoit apple packs. No additional fee is charged to enter other than the normal purchase price of the product and any standard internet or mobile data charges required to post the entry. Under the CPA, a promoter may not charge extra consideration for entry beyond reasonable transmission costs, and any required purchase may not be priced above the ordinary selling price because of the competition.

7. Availability of magnets

Magnets are available in selected promotional Dutoit apple Pick n Pay packs only, while stocks last. Magnet variants are randomly packed and no specific magnet can be guaranteed in any particular pack.

8. Number of entries

Each person may enter once, provided that each entry is supported by a new and complete set of 4 magnets and valid proof of purchase.
Dutoit may disqualify duplicate, incomplete, automated, fraudulent or misleading entries.

9. The prize

The prize is 1 of 5 custom apple pie dishes.
The prize is not transferable for cash unless required by law. Dutoit reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

10. Winner selection
The winner/s will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the competition period on 14 May 2026. The CPA requires the rules to state the basis on which winners are determined and how the results will be made known.
11. Winner notification

The winner/s will be contacted via Instagram direct message and/or any other contact details reasonably available within 7-10 business days after the draw.
If a winner cannot be reached after 3 attempts over 5 business days, or fails verification, or declines the prize, Dutoit may draw an alternative winner.

12. Verification

Dutoit may require the winner to provide:

  • proof of identity;
  • proof of purchase;
  • the original 4 magnets; and
  • any other reasonable information needed to verify the entry.

If the entrant cannot provide satisfactory verification, the entry may be disqualified.

13. Publicity and marketing consent

By entering, participants agree that Dutoit may announce the winner’s name and/or Instagram handle on Dutoit’s social media platforms and promotional channels, subject to applicable law.
If Dutoit wishes to use a winner’s image, voice or likeness for further marketing, the winner will have the right to decline. Under the regulations, a winner cannot be compelled to participate in publicity without being given the opportunity to decline.

14. Rights in submitted content

By posting an entry and tagging Dutoit, the entrant confirms that:

  • the entry content is original or that they have the right to post it;
  • the content does not infringe any third-party rights; and
  • the content is not unlawful, defamatory, offensive or misleading.

The entrant grants Dutoit a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to repost or feature the entry for competition-related and reasonable marketing purposes, subject to the entrant’s rights under applicable law.

15. Disqualification

Dutoit reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

  • does not comply with these Terms and Conditions;
  • submits an incomplete or invalid entry;
  • tampers with the entry process;
  • acts fraudulently or unlawfully; or
  • posts content that is inappropriate, offensive, misleading or infringes the rights of others.
16. Technical issues

Dutoit is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, not visible due to privacy settings, or not successfully received because of technical failure, network issues, platform issues or any other cause beyond Dutoit’s reasonable control.

17. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with this competition will be used only for administering the competition, verifying entries, contacting winners and related lawful purposes. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Dutoit’s privacy practices.

18. Meta / Instagram disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta. By entering, each entrant completely releases Instagram and Meta from any liability associated with this competition. This wording reflects Meta’s promotion requirements.

19. General

Dutoit reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition and these Terms and Conditions if required by law or if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control. Any changes will be made available through the same channels used to promote the competition where reasonably possible.
The Promoter’s decision on all aspects of the competition will be final, subject to applicable law.
A copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available at https://www.dutoit.com/ for the duration of the competition and for a reasonable period thereafter. The CPA requires the rules to be available on request and retained after the competition ends.
